Golf Tournament
Tee Time is coming soon!

The Fourth Annual Camden Elementary School Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, March 18 at the Camden Country Club.  Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 and tee time is at 1:00.  The cost for a four man team to play is $300.00, and hole sponsorships are $100.00.

This year we are offering our hole sponsors an opportunity to have their business recognized at our Spring Carnival on April 23.  For anyone who would like to be a dual sponsor for the golf tournament and the carnival, the cost is $150.00.  Sponsors who choose the $150.00 option will have a sign with their company name at both events.

To sign up to play or sponsor contact Kyle Cassidy at Cassidy@allstate.com or call 432-1561.  If you would like to sponsor but not play, you can contact Kyle or Mr. Yount at robert.yount@kcsdschools.net or 425-8960.  There is a flyer being sent home with the newsletter today that sponsors can use also.

Please help us!

Remington College in Columbia is having a contest for area schools called Vote for Our School.  The prize is $2,000.00 in school supplies.  To win, all we have to do is vote for our school at
That's it!
The contest runs until March 31.  We would like to use the money to increase the instruments in our music classes.

There is no cost to you to help us, and ANYONE can vote.  You can vote once a day from every email address you have between now and March 31.  If you have multiple email addresses, you can vote one time from each address.  To make it easier to vote every day, create a shortcut on your desktop!  (Simple directions are at the end of this article.)
Another way you can help is by asking all of your friends and family to vote for us, too.  Just copy this article into an email and forward or update your Facebook status to ask people to vote.  An example of a status that you can copy and paste is listed below this article.
Let’s see if we can be the top school every day!
Thanks so much for your help!

Please help Camden Elementary win $2000 for new instruments!  Please go to the following link and vote for us.
You can vote once a day from each email account you own.  Thank you for your help!  Also, please pass this along so others can vote!
If you would like to learn more about this, please visit our school website, http://ces.kcsdschools.com.

Directions for placing a shortcut on your desktop:
To make it EASIER TO VOTE DAILY, create a shortcut on your desktop!  To do this, once you open up the link above, you can right click on any white part of the screen and “create a shortcut”.  You will be asked if you want to save it to your desktop; say “yes”.  You should then see an internet icon (the blue, lower case “e”) on your desktop with “Remington” under it.  Just click on the shortcut every day and the voting will be easy and fairly quick!

Our third, fourth, and fifth grade students will take the writing section of the 2010 PASS test. Please be sure your students get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and get to school on time. This is very important.
